10 Strategies for Design Innovation
—
In
order to build innovation capacity and drive organic growth,
top companies are taking the lead from the world of product
design. They are learning to understand people’s deep needs
and are meeting those needs with new and compelling
solutions. They have learned that long-term growth can only
be achieved through innovation. And companies like GE, Intel
and Target are using these insights to give every
employee—from marketing to engineering to finance—a clear,
intuitive sense of their customers’ needs--the first step
towards building a culture of innovation.
Find
out what sets these companies apart. In an exclusive
90-minute audiosession (60 minute presentation with roughly
30 minutes Q&A woven throughout), Dev Patnaik
will share his insights and offer suggestions on how your
organization can use the tools of great design to:
-
Move beyond market
research to meaningful customer insight
-
Translate insight
into new opportunities and roadmaps for topline growth
-
Turn market insight
into company-wide customer empathy
-
Improve the quality
of strategic decision-making at every level of an
organization
Specifically he will discuss going into the field to talk
with real people, using methods such as:
-
shadows—following
people as they go about their daily activities;
-
game
nights—meeting up with a
group of friends, in one of their homes, to observe as
they play a game that has been specifically designed to
elicit interesting stories and get at things they don't
even know about each other; and
-
safaris—taking
executives from a company into the field to experience
first-hand the lives of the people that use their
products.
This
session will also give you 10 everyday activities you can do
to see the world like a designer and deepen your
understanding of your customers.
Overall
it is an excellent opportunity to listen with others from
your organization. Not only will you learn what others are
doing, you will have the chance to ask questions and receive
advice about your unique challenges.
Invite
your whole team to join you - the fee is the same as long as
it's on one phone line, just put it on speakerphone!
